Virginia man jailed for Carbon assault
A Virginia man was jailed on Sunday after being arrested for having sexual intercourse with a 15-year-old girl at a Carbon County hotel.
State police at Lehighton arrested Ryan William Corson, 26, of Potomac Falls, for statutory sexual assault and related offenses. He is accused of meeting the girl on the internet. He then traveled to the Country Inn & Suites, located along SR209, in Franklin Township, on two separate occasions and had consensual sex with the girl. Corson was arraigned and jailed in lieu of bail. The incidents occurred during the period of Dec. 12, 2009 to Sunday when he was arrested.
Troopers said the investigation into the incidents was initiated by Franklin Township police.
