Woman facing retail theft count

A Schuylkill County woman is facing a charge of retail theft.

State police at Schuylkill Haven said Rose Marie Modesto, 60, of Orwigsburg, entered Bill's Produce, located in North Manheim Township, about 3:08 p.m. on Tuesday, Feb. 16, and placed several items in her purse. She then allegedly left the store without paying for them and was stopped in the parking lot by a store employee. The stolen items were valued at $6.13.

She will face the theft charge before District Judge James Ferrier, of Orwigsburg.
