The Schuylkill County driver involved in a head-on crash in which the other driver was seriously injured, and facing driving under the influence (DUI) charges, is also facing drug counts.

State police at Schuylkill Haven said Jesse David Rhen, 23, of Pine Grove, is facing drugs counts after troopers found various objects used in the facilitation of methamphetamine manufacturing in his vehicle.

Rehn was traveling eastbound on Sweet Arrow Lake Road in Pine Grove Township about 3:51 p.m. on Sunday, Feb. 21, when his vehicle crossed into the westbound lane and collided head-on into a vehicle driven by Anya Zelinsky, 23, also of Pine Grove. She was seriously injured and flown by Medevac helicopter to the Lehigh Valley Hospital, Salisbury Township.

A press release on the accident stated Rhen was found to be under the influence and was facing DUI and multiple motor vehicle code violations. Details of the accident appeared on page 2 of Monday's TIMES NEWS under police log articles.
