The executive committees of the Ganden Huetten Memorial Hospital and Palmerton Hospital met to establish an agreement in light of recent building expansion plans of both institutions. The report cites the governing boards of both hospital favor merging the obstetric and pediatrics departments. Eugene Durigan, president of the Lehighton hospital board, said the plans call for obstetrical work to be performed at Palmerton Hospital and pediatrics work ag Gnaden Huetten Hospital, except when emergencies exist.
