Retail theft arrests reported in Monroe

Pocono Mountain Regional police reported on two retail theft arrests made by officers at the Walmart store in Mt. Pocono in separate incidents.

On Monday, March 15, about 6:25 p.m. officers went to the store for a reported theft. As a result police charged Mary Paige Paoletta, of 4406 Black Bear Lane, Tobyhanna, with taking $66.39 worth of merchandise without paying for it.

On March 10 about 4:30 p.m. officers went to the store and arrested a 17-year-old male from Scotrun. Store security told officers the teen was observed using a razor blade to cut open merchandise and conceal the items. The teen was taken into custody, charged and then released to his parents.
