Allentown teen jailed on warrant

A Schuylkill County teen was picked up and jailed on a warrant.

State police at Frackville received a tip that Ryan Arroyo, 19, of Allentown, was at a Mt. Vernon St., Shenandoah, address about 10:30 a.m. on Saturday, Feb. 27. Troopers knew there was an active warrant out for his arrest.

Arroyo was found at the address and taken into custody. He was arraigned before duty District Judge Carol Pankake, of Tremont, and committed to the county prison in Pottsville after failing to post $15,000 cash bail.

Arroyo is wanted by West Mahanoy Township police on charges of possession of marijuana, possession of a controlled substance and possession of drug paraphernalia.
