Luzerne driver in Schuylkill crash
A Luzerne County driver was involved in a one- vehicle crash in Schuylkill County. State police at Frackville investigated and also reported on a hit-and-run accident.
Troopers said Robert Wagman, 57, of Hazle Township, was driving a 2005 Chrysler Pacifica southbound in Interstate 81 in Ryan Township about 12:34 p.m. on Sunday, March 14, when he lost control on the wet roadway. The vehicle went onto the east berm and struck the guide rail where it came to rest.
Wagman was not injured but the Pacifica had to be towed from the scene. Troopers cited Wagman for driving on roadways laned for traffic.
The hit and run was reported on Saturday, March 13, and occurred sometime between midnight and 10 a.m. at 208 Schuylkill Ave., in Shenandoah Heights, West Mahanoy Township. Troopers said a vehicle was driven eastbound when, for unknown reasons, it veered to the right and struck a parked 2007 Jeep Commander. After impact the driver fled the scene. Damages to the Jeep were to the driver's side rearview mirror. The hit-and-run vehicle should have damage to the passenger side, troopers said.
