Burglary, mischief incidents probed
State police at Schuylkill Haven reported investigating a burglary and three acts of criminal mischief at Schuylkill County locations.
The break-in occurred at an abandoned home located at 36 Detrick Ave., in Tower City. Entry was gained through an unlocked door. Removed were two chainsaws. The incident occurred sometime between Dec. 1, 2009, and Saturday, March 20. The listed victim is Denise Jean Beck, 53, of Tower City.
The mischief incidents included:
Frank Beaver, 66, of 345 N. Good Spring Rd., Hegins Township, reported someone flattened the four tires on his Ford Crown Victoria. Troopers said unknown persons threw metal roofing nails into the driveway of the residence which caused the tires to go flat. The incident occurred sometime between 10 p.m. on Friday, March 19, and 8 a.m. on Saturday.
William Yerusavage, 59, of 236 Ridge Rd., Summit Station, Wayne Township, reported someone knocked over a tree stand with an unknown type vehicle, possibly a Ford pickup truck, and then removed a boat with the vehicle that ripped the grass in the area of the boat. They also threw pieces of blue plastic all over the area.
The incident occurred sometime between 9:30 a.m. on Saturday and 2 p.m. on Sunday.
Clyde Bodkins, of Valley View, reported someone vandalized large sections of wooden fence on property at 494 Hill Road, in Barry Township, sometime between 8 p.m. on Friday and 8 a.m. on Saturday.
