Class of 2010
The Decorating Committee for the Parents of the Tamaqua Class of 2010 meets every Monday, at 7 p.m., on the third floor of the Tamaqua Elks, 301 W. Broad St.
Members continue working on decorations for the annual All Night Party.
Primitive Methodist
The Rev. Rodney Hall will officiate at the 10:45 a.m. worship service this Sunday in Primitive Methodist Church. The service will include a children's sermon. Nursery care is available. Sunday school classes will be held at 9:30 a.m.
Zion Lutheran
The Rev. Debra Ernst will officiate at the 8:15 and 10:45 a.m. services this Sunday in Zion Evangelical Lutheran Church. The later service will include the Sacrament of Holy Communion. Sunday school classes will be held at 9:30 a.m.
Also on Sunday, the annual Spring Expo will be held from noon to 5 p.m., featuring area artisans, crafters, local businesses and party planners.
Activities for next week will include: Tuesday, Stewardship Committee meeting at 7 p.m.; Wednesday, midweek Lenten service at 7:30 p.m., Senior Choir rehearsal at 7:30 p.m.; Thursday, Rejoice and Sing Choir rehearsal at 6:30 p.m.; Friday, Easter egg hunt at 6:30 p.m.
Trinity UCC
The Rev. Dr. David Grant will officiate at the 10 a.m. worship service this Sunday in Trinity United Church of Christ. The service will include words for young Christians. Nursery care will be available. Sunday school classes are held at 8:45 a.m.
Activities for next week include: Wednesday, midweek Lenten service at 7:30 p.m.; Thursday, Confirmation class meets at 4 p.m. and Senior Choir rehearsal will be at 6 p.m.
First Steps
First Steps, a support group for mothers with young children, will resume monthly meetings on April 6, at the Primitive Methodist Church, 55 Hunter St., Tamaqua. The meeting will be held in the church social room from 6-8 p.m.
Participants will share a home-cooked dinner. Linda Ambrose will be the guest speaker. Her topic will be CARE NET and the services they provide.
The sessions are free and open to the public. Childcare for all ages will be provided free of charge. New members are always welcome.
