Armed robbery at Monroe store

Pocono Mountain Regional police are investigating an armed robbery at a Monroe County store.

Police said two white males entered the AT&T store along SR940 in Mt. Pocono about 7:54 p.m. on Friday, March 26. One was wearing a black jacket, black pants, black ski mask, black sneakers and was armed with a black semiautomatic handgun. The second male was wearing a black sweat shirt, black pants, white sneakers and carrying a white bag.

The man with the gun ordered the customers to drop to the ground while the second male ran into a back office. Both males then exited the store through the front door.

Police did not indicate what, if anything, was taken in the incident. Anyone with information concerning this incident is asked to call police at (570) 895-2400.
