Published March 22. 2010 05:00PM

State police at Schuylkill Haven reported investigating a one-vehicle crash in which the driver will be cited.

Troopers said Bryon C. Swartzlander, 36, of Tower City, was driving a 2006 Jeep Liberty southbound on SR209 about 8:08 a.m. on Friday, March 19, in Porter Township when he fell asleep. The Jeep went onto the berm and struck a stone wall. After impact with the wall the Jeep struck a mailbox then traveled in a southwest direction and struck a tree with the right front end.

After impact with the tree the Jeep struck a dirt embankment, became airborne, and flipped over several times before coming to rest on its roof along the east berm.

Swartzlander sustained a minor injury in the accident and was taken to the Schuylkill Medical Center East, in Pottsville, by Tremont ambulance. He will be cited for careless driving, troopers added.
