Juveniles cited for drinking

Summit Hill police cited a number of area juveniles for underage drinking earlier this month.

According to borough police, on March 12, at 12:16 a.m., officers observed four individuals walking down a street.

Upon investigation, it was learned that these individuals were juveniles and had consumed an alcoholic beverage. The individuals included a 14-year-old male from Lansford; a 16-year-old male from Coaldale; a 15-year-old male from Coaldale; and a 17-year-old female from Nesquehoning.

Citations were issued to the four juveniles for underage drinking and curfew violation.

At 7:45 p.m., that same evening, a resident approached officers, stating that unknown persons had walked in front of the person's vehicle.

Police found two individuals who fit the description. They were visibly intoxicated.

Upon investigation, it was learned that the individuals were a 16-year-old male from Beaver Meadows, and a 16-year-old male from Summit Hill.

Both juveniles were cited for underage drinking and public drunkenness.
