Driver is charged after accident

State police at the Schuyulkill Haven barracks said they cited Rachel A. Zimmerman, 30, of Tower City, after she crashed her 2006 Pontiac Vibe on Wednesday, March 17, at 10:30 a.m. on SR209 in Frailey Township.

Police said she was eastbound on the road when she failed to negotiate a left curve. The car went out of control, spun clockwise 180 degrees and struck a tree along the south berm with its left front quarter panel.

The woman was not injured.
