Published February 20. 2010 09:00AM

It won't be long before the places, faces and features of North and South India are on full display for all to see.

The "Visual Senses" photography exhibit, presented by Frank T. Smith, will be featured at the Palmerton Frame & Gallery.

The opening reception will be on Friday, March 12, from 6-9 p.m. There is no cost for admission. The exhibit will remain on display until March 29.

The exhibit is essentially a visual tour of North and South India captured through photographs taken by Smith and exhibited by the gallery.

The exhibit will include photographs from areas including Kashmir and South India. Smith's passion is his photography, and he enjoys traveling near and far for a photographic opportunity.

A native of the Lehigh Valley, Smith is a principal with NAI Summit, which works in commercial and industrial real estate in the area.

Smith is also an active member of several local photography organizations, and an avid traveler who expresses his images in different ways to appeal to many interests.

Smith is primarily an outdoor photographer who enjoys landscapes, urban decay and iconic subjects, as well as historical sites such as the former Bethlehem Steel factory.

His portfolio is diverse and can be viewed at www.franksmithphotos.com.

Smith is committed to giving back to his community and various organizations for which he serves a role, as he has committed that proceeds from the exhibit will be donated to three charities.

Those charities include: BSmart, a division of ArtsQuest, Big Brothers Big Sisters of the Lehigh Valley, and The Salvation Army.
