Hospice training
PinnacleHealth Hospice will provide volunteer training to area residents willing to provide assistance and support to terminally ill individuals and their families. Training sessions will begin the week of April 13, with daytime and evening sessions to accommodate potential volunteer's schedules.
Evening sessions will begin April 13, from 6-9 p.m., then continue every Tuesday through May 4. Daytime sessions will begin April 15, from 1-4 p.m., and continue through May 6. All sessions will be held at 301 Norwegian Plaza, Pottsville.

Community service
The Tamaqua Ministerium will sponsor a Community Good Friday service at noon, April 2, in Trinity United Church of Christ. The church is located at 22 Lafayette St.
The public is welcome to attend.
