Tamaqua mishap

No one was injured in a two vehicle accident at the Rite Aid Store in Tamaqua on Monday, April 5.

According to police, Anna Faust, of Reilly Avenue, Tamaqua, was backing out of a parking space on the north side of the building when her Kia Sportage struck a passing Jeep Grand Cherokee. The incident took place at 11:15 a.m. Faust told officers she looked in her rear view mirror, but somehow missed seeing the approaching SUV, which was operated by Eileen Jones, of Barnesville.

The Kia sustained light damage while the Jeep sustained moderate damage to the wheel.

No charges were filed.
