Finals are set
Service Electric and R.R. Frey Services used decisive wins on Wednesday night at the Tamaqua Area Athletic Center to advance to the Championship Game of the Eastern Schuylkill Recreation Commission's winter basketball league.
The ESRC Championship game will take place on Wednesday evening at 7:00 p.m. at the Tamaqua Area Athletic Center.
R.R. Frey-Two King's
R.R. Frey Services advanced into Wednesday's Championship Game with a convincing 77-48 victory over Two King's Pizzeria. Trailing by just four points at halftime (37-33), Two King's suffered a second-half meltdown and scored just 15 points over the final 20 minutes.
Jeremey Frey tallied 11 field goals for a game-high 26 points to pace R.R. Frey. Jason Gross connected on four three-pointers for 14 points, while Ryan Achenbach added 12.
For Two King's, Damian Fritz scored 22 points, while Warren Teasley and Mike Ruggeri chipped in with 12 and 11 points respectively.
Service-Joe's Place/Joey B's
Service Electric's undefeated season continued, as they punched their ticket into Wednesday's Championship Game with a 71-49 victory over Joe's Place/Joey B's.
Jeff Krushinsky dominated the paint scored a game-high 25 points off 10 field goals to lead Service Electric. Joe Schaeffer drained five treys for 17 points, while Josh McCabe (12 points) and Tom Zulkowski (11 points) also came away with double-figures.
For Joe's Place, Zach Tofany led the way with 19 points and Mike Falcone tacked on 12.
