Members of the Carbon County Association of Realtors are participating in the REALTOR® Nationwide Open House Weekend from noon to 3 p.m. on Sunday, April 11.

The weekend is an opportunity for consumers to shop for a new home while affordability is good, mortgage interest rates are low and there is a good supply of homes on the market.

REALTORS® are also emphasizing the end of the First-Time Homebuyer Tax Credit, which expires April 30, 2010.

The Carbon County Association of Realtors is a professional group of realtors that work and live in their community. They service commercial and residential needs of both buyers and sellers.

The Carbon County Association of Realtors office is located at 180 S. First St. Lehighton.

Pam Gothard, president of the association, said, "First time buyers tax credit is still available andanyone buying a house will find this weekend will be a good opportunity to look at homes. Interest rates are still low."
