Published April 01. 2010 05:00PM

A vehicle stop in Jim Thorpe led to the arrest of the driver on multiple charges.

On Friday, March 26, about 12:56 p.m. Det. Lee Marzen was on routine patrol along SR209 (Lehigh Ave.), when he observed a Honda Accord traveling northbound with an expired inspection sticker. While at the traffic light Marzen noticed the registration plate matched one that was reported earlier in the day on a vehicle reported stolen out of Northampton County.

Marzen made a vehicle stop and the driver was identified as Michael Getz, of 2705 Levi Drive, Bath. Getz was charged with receiving stolen property, required financial responsibility, suspended license, expired registration and expired inspection.

He was later arraigned before a district judge and committed to the county prison in Nesquehoning in lieu of bail.
