Jim Thorpe woman jailed for conduct

A Jim Thorpe woman was jailed on April 6 following a disturbance in the borough.

About 8:02 p.m. police responded to the area of 422 School St. to a report of a fight between two females in progress with one bleeding from the face. Upon arrival officers found a crowd of people on School Street with two females yelling, shouting and shoving each other.

The two were separated but Jessica Valentini, of 422 School St., continued to yell, shout, curse and threaten the other female with physical harm. Valentini was asked numerous times to stop her conduct but did not.

She was taken into custody and charged with persistent disorderly conduct and harassment.

She was arraigned before duty District Judge Joseph Homanko, of Weatherly, and committed to the county jail in Nesquehoning failing to post bail.

Officer Justin Sannie made the arrest.
