Carbon man facing charges

A Carbon County man is facing charges following an incident that occurred about 3:38 a.m. on Sunday, April 4.

State police at Lehighton said at the time mentioned Ricky E. Stevens, 28, of Palmerton, arrived at 165 Tar Run Drive, Palmerton, Towamensing Township, along with other individuals. Stevens, troopers said, got into a verbal altercation with Harry W. Compton, 53, of Lehighton, and Stephen R. Barclay, 20, of Palmerton, which turned physical. Stevens was told to leave the property prior to the altercation but did not. After the physical altercation Stevens, along with the others, left the scene.

Palmerton police, at the request of state police, located Stevens at his residence and took him into custody and transported him to the Lehighton barracks.

Stevens is facing charges of criminal trespass and simple assault, troopers said.
