Theft incidents

State police at Fern Ridge reported on several theft incidents being probed by troopers.

Julie A. Roche, 46, of Saylorsburg, Chestnuthill Township, Monroe County, reported someone stole her KNBT debit/credit card and made four fraudulent purchases at the following locations - Exxon, SR115 and Gilbert Rd., in Effort; Chestnuthill Diner, SR209 and Old Route 115, Brodheadsville; Walmart store in Easton; and EZ Value Mart in Sciota. The incident occurred on March 18 between 4:08 and 5:24 p.m.

Lisa House, 40, of Albrightsville, reported her wallet was stolen from Valerio's Bar and Restaurant, SR903, in Penn Forest Township, Carbon County, sometime between 10 p.m. Friday, March 19, and 2 a.m. on Saturday. The wallet was taken from her purse. The criminals then used House's debit card to make purchases at various locations.

Troopers are probing the theft of two cellular phones from the Brookmont Health Care Center in Chestnuthill Township. The thefts occurred on Friday.

Troopers said copper piping was stolen from 118 Hiawatha Trail, Mt. Pocohontas, Penn Forest Township, from the property of Sylvia McLawrence, 62, of Albrightsville. The incident occurred sometime between Jan. 1 and Saturday.
