Divorces granted
Doreen T. Burke was granted a divorce from Anthony J. Burke, both of New Philadelphia. They were married June 15, 1996.
Kimberly M. Fletcher was granted a divorce from Daniel J. Fletcher, both of Pottsville. They were married Jan. 2, 2001.
Bail hearing
Stephen Holmes, Ashland, filed a motion to have his bail reduced and it was granted by Judge Cyrus Palmer Dolbin to $5,000 unsecured and certain restrictions were added. Holmes must reside at 929 Centre Street, Ashland, and he must have no contact with Barbara Holmes. He has been charged with alleged assault and harassment. Unsecured bail means he does not have to post any money, however, if he fails to show for any hearing he will be liable to pay $5,000.
Pleads guilty
Sarah B. Wytovich, 28, Ashland, pleaded guilty to a charge of DUI and was sentenced by Judge Dolbin to serve 48 hours to six months in the county prison, pay a fine of $500, pay $100 to Substance Abuse Education fund, $50 to Catastrophe fund, $50 to Criminal Justice Enhancement Account and make restitution of $60 to Schuylkill Medical Center. When released on parole must pay a $50 monthly supervision fee and pay costs of prosecution. On a charge of careless driving was fined $25 plus $50 costs. Wytovich was cited by Patrolman Raymond Horan, Butler Township.
Guilty plea
Kevin Matthew Mabry, 24, Pottsville, formerly of Buck Run Village, Foster Township, pleaded guilty to several criminal charges and was sentenced by Judge D. Michael Stine.
On a charge of indecent assault was placed on probation 23 months, pay a fine of $1,000, pay $50 to Criminal Justice Enhancement Accout, a $50 monthly supervision fee and court costs. He received credit for serving 29 days in prison. On a charge of possesion of a controlled substance was given a 12 months concurrent probation sentence, pay $100 to Substance Abuse Education fund, $50 to Criminal Justice Enhancement Account. On a charge of driving while his operating privileges were suspended was fined $200 plus $50 costs. On a charge of being disorderly at the Schuylkill Medical Center he was sentenced to serve 12 additional months on probation, pay a $100 fine, pay $50 to CJEA fund and court costs. Charges were filed by Pottsville police.
Revoke parole
The parole of Diane Bretzius, 30, of 503 Center Ave., Jim Thorpe, formerly of New Philadelphia, was revoked by Judge D. Michael Stine who ruled she violated conditions of her parole by failing to report weekly to her probation officer, failed to obtain permission to change her residence and failed to notify her probation officer of a new arrest. She was recommitted to the county prison to serve her original sentence and her 286 days of liberty were taken from her credit. She had pleaded guilty in February 2009 to violation of the public welfare code and was placed on parole.
Valerie A. Underkoffler, 43, Tower City, had her parole revoked by Judge Cyrus Palmer Dolbin and she was recommitted to the county prison and her 264 days of liberty taken away and added to her new maximum sentence which was extended to Jan. 19, 2011. Underkoffler pleaded guilty in February 2009 to a charge of making a false report to police and incriminating another person and was placed on parole.
