The Lansford Businessmen's Association completed plans today to investigate every possibility of creating a road over the mountain from Lansford to Hauto, linking Panther Valley and Hauto Valley. Joseph Porvaznik, president of the association, said the businessmen have discussed the vital importance of linking the two valleys together with a good, short road. The distance, as the crow flies between Lansford and Hauto, is less than a mile, but the shortest driving distance is presently about 12 miles.
