Attempted break-in probed in Carbon

State police at Lehighton are investigating an attempted burglary at a Carbon County residence.

Troopers said unknown persons used a rock to break a window and smash the front door window at 256 Mountain View Road, in Penn Forest Township, but did not gain entry. The home is owned by John Franklin, of Bensalem. The incident occurred sometime between Nov. 15, 2009, and Saturday, April 10.

Troopers are also probing a criminal mischief incident that occurred at the Don Laine Campground, located at 790 57 Road in Towamensing Township, Carbon County. Someone drove a vehicle through the grass area causing damages. The incident occurred sometime between midnight and 8 a.m. on Friday, April 9.
