Monroe driver facing DUI count
A Monroe County driver is facing a charge of driving under the influence (DUI) following an incident about 6:45 p.m. on March 29 at Jonas Road and Jonas Court, in Effort, Chestnuthill Township.
State police at Fern Ridge said George Alan Mendel, 52, of Birch Rd., Effort, was stopped after being observed committing a traffic violation. He was found to be under the influence and was placed under arrest for suspected DUI.
