Schuylkill man facing charges

A Schuylkill County man is facing charges following an incident early Wednesday, April 7.

State police at Frackville said about 2 a.m. troopers encountered Anthony James Edmondson, 20, of Girardville, in the area of 120 W. Ogden St., in the borough. He had a strong odor of alcohol on him. Prior to transporting him to the barracks troopers conducted a patdown search and found a glass pipe with suspected marijuana residue on it on his person. He was taken to the barracks where a breath test revealed alcohol in his system.

Edmondson is facing charges of underage drinking and a drug law violation, troopers said.
