A teenage pedestrian was struck by a vehicle in an accident that occurred about 4:50 p.m. on Saturday, April 24, in the area of 320 W. Grande Ave (SR209), in Tower City, Schuylkill County.

State police at Schuylkill Haven said Danielle M. Williard, 36, of W. Grande Ave., Tower City, was driving a 2006 Chevrolet Equinox eastbound when Stephen M. Bohr, 17, of Williamstown, ran from a residence on the south side of the road without looking and ran into the path of the vehicle despite being warned of oncoing traffic by his 16-year-old brother.

Bohr was struck by the front corner of the passenger side of the Equinox and thrown to the ground. Bohr got up and stumbled off the road before collapsing.

Bohr was flown by LifeLion helicopter to the Hershey Medical Center for treatment of what troopers called minor injuries. Williard and a four-month-old infant in a child safety seat, were not injured.
