Sentenced

Brian C. Stanton, 41, Schuylkill Haven, was sentenced by Judge Charles M. Miller to serve 30 days in the Schuylkill County Prison beginning Wednesday, April 14, followed by four years and 11 months on probation in the Intermediate Punishment Program. He also must pay a fine of $1,500, pay costs of prosectution, pay $300 to the Substance Abuse Education fund, $100 to Catastrophe fund, a $50 monthly supervision fee for each month on probation, make restitution of $760 to Schuylkill Medical Center and his driver's license is suspended for 18 months. Stanton pleaded guilty to driving under the influence of alcohol last February and Miller deferred sentence. Stanton was cited by Patrolman Kenneth Jacoby, Schuylkill Haven Police, last May 1.

Pleads guilty

Peter Michael Koury, Jr., 28, Enola, pleaded guilty to passing a bad check at the BG Family Market, Kings Village, Norwegian Township, and was given credit by Judge Miller for serving two days in the county prison and was placed on probation for 12 months, must pay $50 to Criminal Justice Enhancement Account, a $50 monthly probation supervision fee and pay court costs. He also must make restitution of $248.80 to the store. Koury was cited by Trooper William Luckenbill.

Jessica Lynn O'Boyle, 42, Ashland, entered guilty pleas to charges brought by Patrolman Ray Walacavage, Ashland Police, of giving a bad check to James and Amy Freed, Ashland, in amount of $1,014 and also pleaded guilty to driving under the influence of alcohol as charged by former Criminal Investigator Joseph G. Groody, Ashland Police, in November 2006. Groody is now the county sheriff. Judge Miller accepted the guilty pleas but deferred sentencing to May 20.

Divorces granted

Gloria C. Capece was granted a divorce from Gary R. Capece, both of 33 Hillside Drive, Barnesville. They were married December 7, 2001.

Henry J. Larsen, Jr., Danville, was granted a divorce from Jayne Skibiel -Larsen, Palmyra. They were married July 11, 2007.

Howard C. Pollard, Zion Grove, was granted a divorce from Regina Marie Pollard, Hazleton. They were married October 25, 2003.

Denise L. Marcotte was granted a divorce from Randall W. Marcotte, both of Schuylkill Haven. They were married September 12, 1992.

Marco Antonio Rodriguez was granted a divorce from Lida Ann Rodriguez, both of Auburn. They were married November 26, 1997.

Patrick Direnno, Potsville, was granted a divorce from Nicole Direnno, Arkport, New York. They were married June 5, 2007.

Bonnie J. Hill was granted a divorce from Michael Hill, both of Pottsville. They were married May 3, 2000.

Tina M. Light-Dengler was granted a divorce from James H. Dengler, both of Ashland. They were married July 17, 1999.

File for divorce

Jeannine R. Pinkey, 273 West Main Street, Ringtown, started a divorce action against John T. Pinkey, 64 Chee Street, Barnesville. They were married September 22, 2006.

Linda L. Marchalk filed suit for divorce from Gary D. Marchalk, boith of 263 Lafayette Street, Tamaqua. They were married June 30, 2007.

Dismiss charges

District Attorney James P. Goodman filed a petition to court indicating that the Commonwealth is unable to establish a prima facia case against Korey Robert Wronski, 20, of Mahanoy City, noting another defendant, Matthew R Oshman acceped full responsibility for the crimes and was sentenced on February 18, 2010. Judge John E. Domalakes dismissed the charges against Wronski. They were , criminal conspiracy to steal a credit card.
