Dinner will honor new priest

The Carbon/Schuylkill Serra Club will hold a dinner to honor Brian Miller, the newly ordained priest for the Allentown Diocese. The reception and dinner is sponsored by the Serra Club of the Allentown Diocese and will be held at the at 6 p.m., Wednesday, June 23, at the Lehigh Valley Holiday Inn Conference Center, Route 100, Fogelsville.

Golden Agers

The May 10 meeting of the Panther Valley Golden Agers was opened with a prayer for mothers and Pledge of Allegiance. Appropriate Mother's Day readings were read during the program

Mimie Marrin, the Sunshine Lady read a thank you from the Jasper Tessitore family. Get well cards will be sent to those on the sick list.

Travel report was given by Frank Karnish and Irene Hudasky. The Hospitality group for June is Shirley Pavlick, Dee Niefert, and Fran Hager.

The next meeting is scheduled for May 24 starting at 12:30 p.m. at St. Joseph's Hall, Summit Hill. Officers will be installed.
