Carbon driver facing DUI count

A Carbon County driver is facing a charge of driving under the influence (DUI) following an incident that occurred on April 22 about 9:23 p.m. along Bridge St. at SR209, in Lehighton.

State police at Lehighton said Tammy Stiver, 34, of Lehighton, was operating a 1998 Chrysler Sebring when stopped for a traffic violation. She was found to be under the influence of alcohol, troopers said, and the DUI charge is pending.
