Freshmen orientation
Tamaqua Area High School Principal RuthAnn Gardiner announces a Freshman Orientation will be held for students and parents of incoming freshman for the 2010-11 school year. The orientation is scheduled for Wednesday, May 19, at 7 p.m., in the Tamaqua Area School District Auditorium.
Zion Lewistown
The Rev. Sunny Stock will officiate at the 10:45 a.m. worship service this Sunday in Zion Church in the Lewistown Valley. The service will include a children's message and service. Sunday school classes will be held at 9:30 a.m.
The joint youth group will hold a movie night tonight at 7 o'clock, at the youth building at Christ Church, McKeansburg. The feature presentation will be "The Blind Side."

Calvary UM
The Rev. Brian Reading will officiate at the 10:25 a.m. worship service Sunday in Calvary Evangelical United Methodist Church in the Lewistown Valley. Nursery care is available. The service will include special music. Sunday school classes meet at 9:15 a.m.
Also Sunday, an evening of praise and Bible study will begin at 6:30 p.m.
In honor of the National Day of Prayer, church members will participate in a healing service on May 6, at 7 p.m., at the New Ringgold Fire Company.
