Two facing DUI charges in Monroe

Two drivers are facing charges of driving under the influence (DUI) following two separate incidents in Monroe County.

State police at Lehighton said Paul Baker, 47, of Brodheadsville, was stopped for several motor vehicle code violations about 10:12 p.m. on Tuesday, April 27, along SR209 at Green Hill Road, in Polk Township. He was found to be under the influence and placed under arrest for DUI. Charges will be filed, troopers said.

On Thursday, April 29, about 12:52 a.m. troopers stopped Dale Lynn Knowles, 49, of Kunkletown, along Mountain View Drive, near Green Hill Road, in Polk Township, after observing him drive erratically. He was found to be under the influence and failed field sobriety tests. Troopers said through the course of the investigation they also found him in possession of marijuana and drug paraphernalia. Charges will be filed, troopers added.
