Alcohol incidents lead to two arrests

Alcohol-related incidents led to the arrest of two individuals recently in Monroe County.

Pocono Mountain Regional police said on Saturday, May 8, about 11:16 a.m. officers were dispatched to 9 Rainbow Drive, Blakeslee, for a report of a "room mate" problem. Upon arrival officers found Brian Rogan, 49, of that address, in intoxicated condition. A routine check showed that Rogan had an outstanding bench warrant for his arrest issued in Monroe for failure to appear on a drunk driving charge. Rogan was taken into custody and taken to the county prison on the warrant.

Also on Saturday, about 11:01 p.m., officers on patrol along SR611 at the Pocono Mountain Plaza in Mt. Pocono, made contact with a male pedestrian, later identfied as George Sanchez, 47, of Summerville, S.C. Further investigation revealed Sanchez to be highly intoxicated.

He was placed under arrest and charged with public drunkenness. He was lodged in the county prison, police said.
