Carbon burglary

State police at Fern Ridge are investigating a burglary at a Carbon County residence.

Troopers said the home of Thomas Haney, of 14 Souix Circle, Pleasant Valley West, Penn Forest Township, Jim Thorpe, was forcibly entered on Tuesday, May 11, about 2:30 p.m. Once inside the criminals damaged an alarm system and then fled the scene. Troopers did not indicate if anything was taken.

Troopers also reported the theft of a Ipod and GPS unit from a parked vehicle at 6877 Hannon Lane, Chestnuthill Township, Monroe County, that occurred sometime around 1 a.m. on Wednesday, May 12.

Jozef Semancik, 34, of 2912 Whisperwood Court, Saylorsburg, Chestnuthill Township, reported someone smashed the front passenger side window of his 2002 Mazda Protege while parked in the driveway of his residence. The incident occurred sometime between 2:30 and 10:40 p.m. on Monday, May 10.
