Monroe crash

State police at Lehighton reported investigating a two-vehicle crash on Saturday, May 22, about 11:23 a.m. at the intersection of SR534 and SR209 in Polk Township, Monroe County.

Troopers said Frank C. Slater II, 19, of Walnutport, was driving a 1991 Chevrolet Blazer northbound on 209 and attempted to make a left turn onto 534 and struck a 2006 Honda Civic operated by Donna Krohmer, 54, of Kunkletown, who was stopped for a red traffic light.

The two drivers were not injured but a passenger with Krohmer, Kari L. Krohmer, 23, Kunkletown, sustained a minor injury but did not require medical attention. Troopers cited Slater for driving on roadways laned for traffic.
