Jury trials

Matthew Winters Bond, 42, Orwigsburg, was found guilty by a jury of a charge of simple asault and President Judge William E. Baldwin ordered a pre-sentence investigation to be completed by the adult probation department for submission to the court and counsel. Bond was released on current bail pending sentence. Charges was filed by Patrolman William Bradley, Orwigsburg police. Bond was found not guilty of charges of aggravated indecent assault and indecent assault.

Laron Philmore, 25, an inmate at the state correctional institution, was found guilty by a jury of aggravated assault and simple assault. Judge Cyrus Palmer Dolbin ordered a pre-sentence investigative report prepared and scheduled sentencing for July 26. Philmore was charged by Trooper Jacob Shelak with assaulting Correctional Officer Michael David Blankenhorn on March 16, 2009.

Todd Matthew Richter, 43, Pottsville, was found guilty of assaulting Travis Anthony Kramer, Pottsville, on Jan. 28, 2008, at 219 N. 20th St., Pottsville. Judge D. Michael Stine ordered a pre-sentence investigation and fixed sentencing date for July 26. Richter is not permitted any contact with the victim. Charges were filed by Patrolman Kirk Becker, Pottsville police.

Enter guilty pleas

Lawayne A. Kline, 43, Mahanoy City, pleaded guilty to possession of drug paraphernalia and was given credit by Judge John E. Domalakes for serving two days in the county prison and was placed on parole for 12 months and ordered to pay $100 to Substance Abuse Education fund, a $50 monthly supervision fee and pay court costs. Kline was cited by Patrolman Michael Dissinger, Mahanoy City police, last March 17 on Catawissa Street.

Mickey Christopher Allen, 28, an inmate in the state correctional institution in Ryan Township, pleaded guilty to a charge of aggravated harassment by a prisoner and was sentenced by Judge Cyrus Palmer Dolbin to serve two to four years in a state correctional institution. The sentence is to run concurrent with the sentence he is now serving. He must pay costs of prosecution, pay $50 to Criminal Justice Enhancement Account and make restitution of $240 to Gary Rosato, correctional officer. Allen was cited by Trooper James Cuttitta last Aug. 20.

Zone hearing board

The Schuylkill County Zoning Hearing Board handed down decisions from hearings held last month.

Kurt R. and Marsha L. Hepler, as trustees of the Hepler Family Trust, were granted a special exception to the Schuylkill County Zoning Ordinance to allow their single family residence at 493 Hill Road, Barry Township, to be used as a personal care home for eight elderly people. Opposition was voiced at the meeting by several neighbors claiming increased traffic in the farming area and depletion of well water supply.

Dean R. Nicholas, 216 W. Laurel St., Tremont, was granted a dimensional variance to the county zoning ordinance to allow him to construct a roof over two off-street parking spaces on an existing concrete pad, creating a carport and roof overhand at the property line within the side setback area.

Divorces granted

Daniel M. Ambruch was granted a divorce from Sharon L. Ambruch, both of Zion Grove, North Union Township. They were married Nov. 3, 2001.

Krystyna P. Hughes, 485 W. Spring St., Frackville, was granted a divorce from Charles T. Hughes, 304 W. Center St., Shenandoah. They were married June 17, 2000.

Martha J. Lindenmuth, 330 W. Center St., Shenandoah, was granted a divorce from Richard J. Lindenmuth, 97 Park Place Road, Mahanoy Township. They were married May 4, 2002.

William T. Faron Jr., was granted a divorce from Denise A. Faron, Harrisburg. They were married April 22, 1978.

Gina Rice, Scranton, was granted a divorce from Charles Rice, Ashland. They were married Sept. 11, 1993.

Michael J. Naradko Sr. was granted a divorce fromn Barbara J. Naradko, both of Pottsville. They were married Oct. 13, 2007.

Diena L. Felty was granted a divorce from Travis J. Felty, both of Pine Grove. They were married Aug. 2, 2003.

Robert J. Felosa, Sacramento, Hubley Township, was granted a divorce from Karrie A. Felosa, Hegins. They were married May 20, 1997.

Matthew C. Specht, Hegins, was granted a divorce from Jessica Specht, Pitman, Eldred Township. They were married Oct. 15, 2005.

Robert J. Darcangelo was granted a divorce from Susan R. Bamford, both of Orwigsburg. They were married Dec. 3, 2004.

Michael E. Close, Minersville, was granted a divorce from Gail L. Close, Pottsville. They were married May 15, 1999.

Amy C. Kubeyka, Frackville, was granted a divorce from Joseph T. Kubeyka, Mahanoy Plane, Mahanoy Township. They were married June 15, 1996.

Daniela Sylvester, Ashland, was granted a divorce from Jeremiah Sylvester, Polttsville. They were married Sept. 11, 2001.
