Both drivers cited after accident

Both drivers invovlved in a crash in Schuylkill County were cited. State police at Schuylkill Haven said the crash occurred about 11 a.m. on Friday, May 21, at the intersection of SR209 and N. Fourth St., in Tower City.

Troopers said Raymond G. Bender, 66, of Lebanon, was westbound on Fourth St. operating a 2006 Isuzu Ascender while Jane E. Workman, 49, of Tower City, was northbound on 209 driving a 1991 Dodge Colt. Troopers said Bender attempted to turn left onto 209 and was struck by Workman's vehicle. The front end of the Colt struck the front left of the Ascender.

No one was injured. Troopers said Bender was cited for stop sign violation and Workman was cited for driving while under suspension.
