June 12, 1965 Lehighton uses a strong offensive attack to gain a 16-7 Lehigh Valley Junior Legion win over Allentown Downtown Youth Center. Rod Borger slugs a two-run homer during a six-run eighth inning. Ray Knecht collects three hits and three RBIs while Jeb Hart also contributes three hits and knocks in two. Joe Metzger earns the pitching win and Pat Searfoss adds a solo homer. Also chipping in are Drew Yenser and Craig Hofford, who each knock in two runs.
