June 10, 1996 Vanessa Strohl earns both the pitching win and the save as Northern Lehigh's softball team advances to the PIAA Class AA final with a 4-3 victory over Villa Joseph Marie. Strohl tosses the first four innings, but because of some wildness is relieved by Gale Treskot. When Treskot gets into some trouble in the seventh, Strohl returns to the circle to retire the final three outs. Strohl also contributes two hits, two stolen bases and scores two runs while Allison Kuntz adds an RBI single and a run scored.
