Schuylkill woman jailed after incident

A Schuylkill County woman was jailed following an incident at the home of her father.

State police at Frackville said Chrystina Hosier was at 232 Valley St., New Philadelphia, the home of her father, about 8 p.m. on Monday, May 31, when she became unruly. While attempting to restrain her, Hosier struck Chrystal Filer, also of New Philadelphia, and also bit her.

Hosier was taken into custody and charged with simple assault. She was arraigned before a district judge and failed to post bail and was committed to the county prison in Pottsville.
