Divorces granted

Justina D. Walb, 135 Angel Drive, New Ringgold, was granted a divorce from Randall L. Walb, Pottsvile. They were married Feb. 25, 1989.

Matthew C. Specht, Hegins, was granted a divorce from Jessica L. Specht, Pitman. They were married Oct. 15, 2005.

File for divorce

Roseann D. Johnson, Box 1, New Tripoli, started a divorce action against Ricky Johnson, 451 Ben Titus Road, Tamaqua. They were married Oct. 21, 1971.

John N. Handy filed suit for divorce from Karen D. Handy, both of 521 W. Market St., Mahanoy City. They were married Sept. 12, 1987.

Billy Joe Fisher filed for divorce from Nicole Fisher, both of 411 W. Spruce St., Mahanoy City. They were married June 22, 2006.

Sentenced

Joseph H. Krawczyk, 46, of 538 E. Center St., Mahanoy City, pleaded guilty to simple assault and was placed on probation 23 months by Judge Charles M. Miller. He also was ordered to pay $50 to Criminal Justice Enhacement Account (CJEA), a $50 monthly supervision fee and cost of prosecution. He was cited by Patrolman Charles Kovalewsky, Mahanoy City police, last June 18.

Under a plea agreemtnt charges of aggravated assault, corruption of minors, criminal solicitation to commit false reports and threats were nol prosssed. He was also warned to stay away from the victim and her family.

Kerei Rashad Rose, Pottsville, pleaded guilty to selling or furnishing liquor or malt beverages to minors, and was placed on probation six months by Judge Miller and ordered to pay a fine of $1,000 and court costs, pay $50 to CJEA, a $50 monthly supervision fee and court costs. Rose was cited by Patrolman Joseph Welsh, Pottsville police.

Patricia Ann Long, 29, Pottsville, pleaded guilty to driving under the influence (DUI) of alcohol and was sentenced by Judge Jacqueline Russell to serve 72 hours in the county prison and since she had already served the minimum sentence was released on parole for 12 months, pay $50 to CJEA, $300 to Subsdtance Abuse Education (SAE) fund, a fine of $1,000, costs of prosecution, $60 restitution to Schuylkill Medical Center and a $50 monthly supervision fee. On a summary charge of disregarding the traffic lane she was to travel was fined $25 plus $50 costs. Long was cited by Patrolman Kenneth Jacoby, Schuylkill Haven police, in April 2009.
