Credit defaults

The following actions were filed by credit card companies, or their collection agencies, for alleged defaults on credit card/loan accounts.

Discover Bank, 6500 New Albany Rd., New Albany, Ohio, filed against Monica Planutis, 140 W. Garibaldi Ave., Nesquehoning, seeking $6,654.32.

Citbank South Dakoka, 701 E. 60th St. N, Sioux Falls, S.D., filed against Frank J. Grieco, 181 Ashley Lane, Lehighton, seeking $3,141.01.

Chase Bank USA, 3700 Wiseman Blvd., San Antonio, Tex., filed against Carmen Gonzalez, 220 Kennetta Lane, Palmerton, seeking $11,066.60.

Asset Acceptance, c/o 120 N. Keyser Ave., Scranton, filed against Jerry K. Duncan, 1097 Mahoning Mountain Rd., Lehighton, seeking $1,481.06.

LVNV Funding, 15 S. Main St., Greenville, S.C., filed two actions as follows: Holly Applegate, 470 Main Rd., Lehighton, seeking $1,405.33; and Keri Nichols, 225 N. 11th St., Lehighton, seeking $4,072.59.

Arrow Financial Services, c/o 5 Great Valley Parkway, Malvern, filed three actions as follows: Trevor Strohl, 239 Avenue B, Palmerton, seeking $4,580.71; Pete Carollo, 292 Mountain Rd., Albrightsville, seeking $1,756.91; and Anthony Gadaleta, 974 Pohopoco Drive, Lehighton, seeking $1,683.78.

Midland Funding, 8875 Aero Drive, San Diego, Calif., filed against Tina Palumbo, 161 Panther Run Rd., Jim Thorpe, seeking $766.45.

HSBC Bank Nevada, 1111 Town Center Drive, Las Vegas, Nev., filed against Suzanne R. Jones, 30 E. Walter St., Summit Hill, seeking $4,496.59.

Loan default

Arrowood Indemity Co., Box 1000, Arco Corporate Drive, Charlotte, N.C., filed an action against Kimberly D. Jacobellis, 5 Pine Point Place, Albrightsville, and Thomas F. Jacobellis Sr., 31 Dorset Rd, Manchester, N.J., jointly and severally, alleging they defaulted on two student loan agreements. Sought is $44,552.93 plus interest, costs and fees.

Mortgage foreclosures

The following actions were filed as mortgage foreclosures for alleged defaults on loans.

M&T Bank, 1100 Wehrle Drive, Williamsville, N.Y., filed an action against Michael T. Ridgick Sr., 2697 Puyallup, Albrightsville, over property at that address. Sought is $115,124.99 and continuing interest.

Medical bill

Remit Corporation, 36 W. Main St., Bloomsburg, on behalf of Gnaden Huetten Memorial Hospital, Lehighton, filed suit against Elaine Apgar, 49 Locust Lane, Albrightsville, alleging she owes a bill for medical services provided. Sought is $4,684.19 plus interest, costs and fees.

Legal bill

Atty. Paul A. Kelly Jr., 329 Penn Ave., Scranton, filed an action against Stephen G. Pheiffer, 110 Broad Mountain View Drive, Jim Thorpe, alleging he owes a bill for legal services provided. Sought is $6,935.

Divorces started

Michelle S. Klump, 429 Hemlock Trail, Lehighton, filed against John Ackerman Jr., same address. They were married Dec. 6, 1994.

Trisha A. Wolbach, 236 N. Second St., Lehighton, filed against Gary L. Wolbach, 1718 Lincoln Ave., Northampton. They were married Feb. 12, 2003.

Jennifer Rae Causey, Box 89, Palmerton, filed against Rickey Joe Causey, an inmate at the Carbon County prison, Nesquehoning. They were married Feb. 2, 2001.

Dorrinda A. Bourgault, 1060 Upper Nis Hollow Drive, Lehighton, filed against Gregory M. Bourgault, same address. They were married Feb. 14, 1986.

Robert A. Bruits, 803 Lincoln Ave., Northampton, filed against Susan E. Bruits, 840 Club Rd., Palmerton. They were married April 29, 1999.

Land dispute

The Palmerton Rod & Gun Club Company Inc., Box 11, Palmerton, filed an action against Edgar A. and Lori L. Newhart, 500 James St., Lehighton.

The suit states that the plaintiff owes land adjoining the defendants in Towamensing Township. The suit alleges on or about May 2009 the defendants trespass on the property of the plaintiffs for the purpose of constructing a dirt track for 4-wheelers, or similar vehicles. The suit charges the defendants did not have permission to do so and received a letter from legal counsel of the plaintiffs' stating their actions were not legal.

The plaintiff seeks reimbursement for trees and for other restoration of the land to the condition it was prior to the defendants' action. Sought is $1,500 in damages to 75 trees valued at $20 per tree. Also the court is aked to eject the defendants from the property in question and to award compensatory damages of $5,150 and punitive damages in an amount less than the limit for arbitration for Carbon County.

Bill owed

Sysco Central Pennsylvania, 3905 Corey Rd., Harrisburg, filed an action against Denithorne Brothers Inc., dba, Trainers Inn, 845 Interchange Rd., Lehighton, alleging the defendant owes a bill for equipment/merchandise provided. Sought is $8,734.74 plus interest, costs and fees.
