Hazleton's DeMelfi will play water polo at Temple

Hazleton Area High School senior, Cherise DeMelfi, will continue her academic and water polo career at Temple University in Philadelphia.

DeMelfi was a three-year varsity starter and team captain. She also won the Scholar Athlete Award and was on the Distinguished Honor Roll for all four years. DeMelfi will be majoring in Kinisiology and will minor in Spanish at Temple University.

She is the daughter of Dave DeMelfi of Lake Hauto.
