DUI arrests

State police at Lehighton reported on two driving under the influence (DUI) arrests made by troopers recently in Monroe County.

On Friday, June 4, about 9:32 p.m. Sandra Maxwell-Jones, 50, of Saylorsburg, was stopped along Cherry Valley Road, in Ross Township, for several motor vehicle violations. She was found to be under the influence of a controlled substance, troopers said, and was placed under arrest. Charges will be filed.

On Saturday, June 5, about 4:14 p.m. troopers stopped Anthony Lavin, 59, of Effort, along Mountain Road at Jonas Road, in Polk Township. He was found to be under the influence and was placed under arrest for DUI.
