Named to dean's list
Alexandra Wargo Nichols of Penn Forest Township, Jim Thorpe, has been named to the dean's list for the spring semester at University of the Sciences Philadelphia.
Students achieving this status must have attained a semester GPA of 3.40 or above. Alexandra's course of study is health sciences with an emphasis in the physician assistant program.
Last summer, Alexandra had the privilege of traveling to Ecuador with a select group of students for a hands-on medical mission. While there, she was able to work closely with emergency room and operating room doctors, and was solely responsible for many of the patients. She also traveled to Tanzania with a group of young people from the Northeastern Pennsylvania Synod as an ambassador to the companion Synod and was able to tour and assist in the medical facilities during the visit.
Alexandra is a member of the USP chamber choir, and also serves as a student guide for prospective students.
She is the daughter of Audrey Wargo of Penn Forest Township, and Martin Nichols.
