Break-ins, theft incidents probed
Two burglaries and several incidents of theft were probed by state police at Lehighton in recent days.
Troopers said the residence of Kathy Bradshaw, 79, of 301 Fir St., Kunkletown, Polk Township, Monroe County, was forcibly entered sometime between June 6 and 13. Removed was a 37-inch Vizio television and multiple pieces of jewelry.
The residence of Eric Ramos, 19, of 326 Squirrelwood Court, Effort, Polk Township, was entered sometime between midnight and 2 p.m. on June 5. Nothing was taken but damages were reported to the home.
Several vehicles were forcibly entered while parked on a lot off SR903 at the Pocono Whitewater Rafting, in Penn Forest Township, Carbon County. The vehicles were entered and removed was various miscellaneous items as well as four cellular phones and a watch. Total estimated value of the missing items was $955.
The victims were Eileen Ann Sobieskidaly, 49, of Cream Ridge, N.J.; Christopher James Myers, 29, of Seneca, N.Y.; Avinash Dinesh Chaturvedi, 28, of Jersey City, N.J.; Michael Dani David, Berlin, N.J.; Ravindra Gupta, 30, of Woodbridge, N.J; and Krishan Punia, 26, of Jersey City, N.J.
John Russel, 48, of Lot 33, Deubler's Trailer Park, in Tobyhanna, Polk Township, reported someone removed an automobile battery from his property. The theft was reported on June 6.
John Hoag, 70, of 4630 Forest St., Lehighton, Towamensing Township, reported two ceramic lawn ornaments were removed from his property. The incident was reported on June 6.
The theft of two state registration plates from vehicles is being probed.
The plate on the vehicle of Josephine A. Balicki, 80, of Memorial Drive, Kunkletown, Polk Township, was taken sometime between 7 a.m. and 11 p.m. on June 11. The plate number is DGP2338.
The plate from the vehicle of Ann Elizabeth Wilhem, 52, of Lehighton, was taken while the vehicle was parked at the Penn Medical Group parking lot in Weissport, sometime between June 8-11. The plate number is EZE1676.
