Theft from vehicle incident probed

State police at Schuylkill Haven are investigating a theft from a vehicle incident involving a Schuylkill County man.

Troopers said the vehicle of Edward Flynn, 51, of Wiconisco, was entered while parked in a lot off SR209 at the off ramp of Interstate 81 in Pine Grove Township. Entry was gained by smashing the passenger side window.

Removed from the car was a Jansport book bag containing a checkbook, various cloths and work identification as well as a Tramadol prescription pain medication. The incident occurred sometime between 6 and 8:30 p.m. on Monday, June 7.
