TAHS Baccalaureate
Tamaqua Area High School Baccalaureate Service will be held on Sunday, May 30 at 7:30 p.m.
Students should report to the St. Jerome's School gym between 6:30 and 7 p.m. to be vested.
The procession will start at 7:25 p.m.
St. Jerome's will provide ushers and directions for everyone to follow. The air conditioning will be on in the gym and in the church.
SS. Peter and Paul
SS. Peter and Paul Church, Tamaqua, will hold a Memorial Day Mass on Monday, May 21 at 8 a.m. in the church. Cemetery services will be at 10 a.m.
First Friday confessions will be held on Friday, June 4 at 7:30 a.m. Mass and Devotions will be at 8 a.m. Communion calls will begin at 9 a.m.
Fatima Saturday confessions will be at 7:30 a.m., with rosary and Devotions before the 8 a.m. Mass. Rosary will be held on Sunday, June 6 before the 8 a.m. Mass. Members will receive Holy Communion in a body.
Tamaqua Adult Day Care
The Tamaqua Area Adult Day Care center will hold Jackpot Bingo on Wednesday, June 2, a trip to Heisler's Dairy Bar on Thursday, June 3 and Crafts on Monday, June 7. A church service is planned for Wednesday, June 9.
The adult day care offers many activities, including daily exercise, reality orientation, remotivational therapy and reminiscent therapy. Breakfast, lunch and snacks are included. Funding may be available through the Schuylkill County Office of Senior Services or the Carbon County Area Agency on Aging.

St. Jerome's
The Memorial Day Mass for St. Jerome's Church, Tamaqua, will be held on Monday, May 31 at 9 a.m. at St. Jerome's cemetery on Jerome Street. In the event of inclement weather, the Mass will be held in the church.
The church office will be closed on Monday and will reopen on Tuesday at 9 a.m.
Rush, Ryan, Delano Seniors
The Rush, Ryan and Delano Senior Citizens Inc. met on May 25 at the Ryan Township Fire Company, Barnesville.
President Eleanor Schmerfeld conducted the business meeting with 43 members present.
Chaplain Kathleen Valentine offered a prayer, followed by the Lord's Prayer, the Pledge of Allegiance and one verse of "God Bless America". Secretary Florina Martin read the minutes from the previous meeting. Treasurer Shirley Becker gave the financial report. Birthday greetings were extended to George Caravello.
The annual picnic will be held on July 27 at the Grier City Playground. The affair will be catered by Christy Joy.
Readings were presented by Becker, Martin and Alberta Corch.
Calvary Evangelical
For Sunday, May 30, Calvary Evangelical United Methodist Church announces that there will be a combined Memorial Day Service at the Zion's Church, Valley Road, Lewistown Valley at 10:45 a.m.
Pastor Brian Reading will present a sermon titled One Nation Under God. Special music will be presented by the two churches' combined choir.
There will be Sunday School for everyone at 9:15 a.m. There will be no Evening Praise or Bible Study.
Wednesday, Prayer and Share will be held at 7 p.m. for all.
