May 28, 1982 Three TIMES NEWS area athletes earn medals at the PIAA State Track and Field Championships. Tamaqua's Dave Keich takes second in the triple jump with a distance of 43-7 while Rob Mikulski of Panther Valley earns a fifth place in the discus with a throw of 146-0. Lehighton's Dennis Semmel also gains some hardware by taking sixth in the pole vault, clearing 13-0.
